Game Gems is a free online trivia site. You can play quizzes in more than twenty categories, try ten different game modes, take the Daily Challenge, duel friends in 1v1 challenges and host live quiz parties — on any phone, tablet or computer.

Yes, completely. Game Gems is supported by advertising, so you may see ads on some pages. There are no subscriptions, entry fees or in-app purchases.

No. Game Gems is entertainment only. There are no cash prizes, no real-money rewards and no gambling of any kind. Points, XP, levels and virtual Gems have no monetary value.

Our questions are written by the Game Gems team. Many include a short explanation or fun fact so you learn something from every answer. If you spot a mistake, please tell us through the Contact page and we will fix it.

Choose a category from the Categories page, pick Easy, Medium or Hard, and press Play. Each category quiz has 10 multiple-choice questions.

Easy questions give 30 seconds, Medium 20 seconds and Hard 15 seconds. Some game modes have their own timing — for example Speed Run uses one 60-second clock for the whole run.

No. Once you tap an option your answer is locked in, so read each question carefully before you choose.

An unanswered question counts as incorrect and the quiz moves on. In Survival mode a timeout also costs a life.

Questions are drawn at random from a large pool, so most games are different. You may occasionally see a question again — a good chance to check you remember the answer.

Correct answers score 100 points on Easy, 150 on Medium and 200 on Hard. Answering quickly adds a speed bonus of up to 50%, and several correct answers in a row add a combo bonus of up to 50%. Wrong answers score nothing but never remove points.

XP (experience points) is earned every time you finish a quiz and is based on your score. XP raises your level, and the All-time XP leaderboard ranks players by their total.

Play on consecutive days to build a streak. Each streak day increases the XP you earn by 10%, up to double. Miss a day and the streak starts again.

Every question you answer wrongly is saved to your Mistakes deck. You can review them as flashcards or play a revision quiz of only your missed questions. Answer a card correctly twice in a row and it is marked as mastered.

There are boards for the Daily Challenge, streaks, all-time XP, Survival and Speed Run. Play regularly and score well — the Daily Challenge is the quickest way onto a board because it resets every day.

Open Live Party on a laptop or TV and create a room. Friends join on their phones with the 6-digit PIN — up to 50 players, no app needed.

Start a 1v1 Challenge, answer the 10 questions, then share the link. Your friend plays exactly the same questions whenever they like, and you both see who won.

A new set of 10 questions every day at midnight UTC — the same for every player. You get one attempt, and the daily leaderboard ranks everyone who played.

No. You can play everything as a guest. Your progress is linked to a random ID stored in your browser, so it stays on that device.

Only what is needed to run the games, keep scores and show ads. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is collected, how cookies and advertising work, and the choices you have.
